Yesterday, David Jones launched the First Nations Designer Capsule Collection, welcoming six designers from our Indigenous Fashion Projects (IFP) Pathways Program: JOSEPH AND JAMES, Gammin Threads, Miimi and Jiinda, Kamara Swim, Gali Swimwear and Lazy Girl Lingerie. The capsule showcases the latest designs, creations, and innovations in fashion at the Elizabeth St Flagship (and online!).

In 2019, IFP partnered with David Jones to strengthen their commitment to increasing First Nations inclusion in the Australian fashion and textiles industry. This partnership led to the establishment of the IFP Pathways Program, which has become an important platform for First Nations designers to learn, connect, understand the industry, and grow their businesses.

Yesterday marked a significant step in David Jones’ reconciliation journey with the launch of their second Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). We’re immensely proud to be part of this journey, our partnership, and the ongoing support that David Jones provides for the IFP Pathways Program.

Congratulations to the designers and everyone involved.
