Julie Shaw is a proud Yuwaalaraay woman and the Founder and Creative Director of Australian First Nations brand MAARA Collective.

With over 15 years’ experience in the fashion industries of Sydney, Melbourne and London, Julie launched MAARA in 2019 to showcase and celebrate Indigenous art and design.

She was the recipient of the ‘Fashion Design’ and ‘Community Collaboration’ Awards at the inaugural National Indigenous Fashion Awards in 2020, and is honoured to now be part of the NIFAs judging panel for 2026.

Lisa Friedl

COUNTRY ROAD

Appointed Creative Director in 2025, Lisa Friedl brings a global design perspective to Country Road, with a fashion career spanning the UK, Europe and Asia markets.

She has led design and creative teams for some of retail’s most recognised international brands. Now based in Australia, Lisa is helping to shape the next era for Country Road, refining and elevating the iconic lifestyle brand’s expression of modern Australian style.

Lindyn Rowland

ROWLAND VISION

Lindyn Roland is a multidisciplinary creative working across fashion, community, and creative direction. He is the Founder and Creative Director of ROWLAND VISION, established in 2022 as the first and only First Nations–owned eyewear brand.

Known for his sharp creative direction and commitment to cultural storytelling, Lindyn has contributed to some of Australia’s leading fashion platforms. In 2025, he led styling for the Ganbu Marra runway and the 10th anniversary of Country to Couture. He previously served as Head Stylist for the David Jones Indigenous Fashion Projects runway at Australian Fashion Week 2024 and has worked as a wardrobe stylist on the AFL television program Yokayi TV.

Alongside his creative practice, Lindyn has built a strong modelling career over the past four years, walking in multiple Melbourne Fashion Week seasons and closing Australian Fashion Week in 2022.
